week 7

It is our 7th week of class, still in progress of completing module 1! Through this assignment, I have discovered and gained knowledge on how to search and download pictures and videos. Besides, I become acquainted with the importance of software which is used as downloader. As a result, my knowledge regarding this software might lead me to become a better teacher by providing good materials and create my own teaching aids for children. It is actually very exciting and I am awfully enthusiastic to learn more and more about technology though it is challenging. I would happily end this week’s reflection with a quote:

week 6

Well, it is our sixth week! Ouuuch!! Loads of work!! I was freaked out when I received Module 1 which was heavy and chunky, as one of my task to complete within two weeks. However, Pn Foziah has explained the proper way of completing the module. All I need to do is to follow her instructions to produce a fine work. By doing this assignment, I would be able to explore the world of technology and I am glad to know something handy. So far, I have learnt how to download videos by using software such as Moyea downloader. There are still many other software and programs that I have to explore. I hope this assignment would generate my knowledge about technology. I guess it is time for me to put a fullstop. Catch you all again!

WEEK 5

Believe it or not, we are in week 5! I have come across an interesting lesson, it is all about TEACHING AIDS. All we had to do is to search about TEACHING AIDS more in detail as we were assigned to work in pair to complete the task. However, Pn Foziah has stated several teaching aids such as flash cards, music video, E-book, online story, online games and also other online educational activities which might attract children. As technology is growing every day, children are interested more in technology materials rather than books. I hope through this assignment I would learn new teaching techniques for children and utilize it well in the future.

WEEK 4

Hi everyone. This week we gather in the class to continue with the presentation. All together it was four topics which is "Children's Ability To Grasp Meaning", "Children's Capacity for Indirect Learning.", "Children's Creative Use of Language Resources" and “The Role Of Imagination.” All the topics that have been given to us to present basically talks about the ways children aquire knowledge and how those knowledges gives impact in their daily lifes. After all the group complete with their presentation, we were given a new task.
Our task for that day was to download the song “Waka Waka by Shakira”. Then, we have to find a video of “Waka Waka by Shakira” and finally find the lyrics of “Waka Waka by Shakira”. This was the task that was given on the day. Besides that, our lecturer, Mdm Foziah taught us to use Moyea Flv downloader to use as a media to complete the task that has been given. Overall the class was fun and interesting as i din realise how the three hours lesson pass by. So i think thats all for this week entry.BYE BYE....

Week 3

The time is flying so fast as we have completed the third week of resources class. For todays lesson, we were given task to be completed. The task that has been given was to do a power point presentation based on the book”Teaching English in the Primary Classroom". For my group,we were assign to present Chapter 1 which is "Children’s capacity for Indirect Learning". Our task is to come up with our own understanding about the topic and several examples to make our explanation strong and clear. Basically, this topic is about how children learn or acquire knowledge indirectly our without realizing it. Educators job is to give them oppurtunity to think and come up with their own understanding and previous knowledge that children have. Examples that our group gave was childrens game such as puzzles, guess WHAT, hangman and many more which educates children indirectly and at the same time its fun for the children to learn. In my own opinion, i think indirect learning plays a huge role to educate the children and also help them to think out of the box.

week 2

I would like to grab this opportunity by saying thanks to Pn.Foziah for her guidance. She has given us a brief introduction about the five modules which we are going to learn all the way through this course. Those five modules are:
a)Internet & competence skills
b) Photo editing skills
c) Video editing skills
d) Audio editing skills
e) Software for ESL skills
Besides, I have also learnt about typing skill. I realized that a correct and comfortable posture plays an important role when we are typing. In my point of view, to do typing without looking at the keyboard is something fascinating. I am glad to learn this.
Furthermore, we have been taught about Skydrive and Moyea. Skydrive is software which is used as free online storage where as Moyea is used to download and organize web videos. Then, we were told about the portfolios that we need to get ready for this course. A senior’s portfolio was shown as an example for our reference.
Last but not least, we were also requested to answer some questionnaires given by Pn. Foziah. I guess that’s all for now. I am looking forward to learn a lot throughout this course.

week 1..

It was first resources class today.I did not know in which world i am. how the ckass would be, who is the lecturer,what kind of person is she??? all running in my mind when i entered the class.But when i saw Mdm Foziah,i was relieved because she was very nice person,calm and entertaining.I could see that she was very open-minded and could understand how we feel on the first day. i was very happy to enter the first class of resources and hope to learn something new in my life experience.

For this first lesson, it was jus an introductory lesson as Mdm Foziah did not want to scare us with all the assignments and tasks. She briefed us about what the course was going to be about and talked to us about how she wanted the class to be.On the first day, we we given small task to be completed. It was:
1) To install Photoshop CS3.
2) To get an 8gb pendrive.
3) To create a blog.

This is what happened in the very first class of resources. Hope the journey of the lesson will be fun and interesting. God bless...
